Tommie Blount

Tommie Blount, passed away on July 21, 2025. He was born on January 11, 1951 to Monroe Blount and Ella Wheat in Independence, Louisiana.

He is survived by sons, Houston Dees (Kacey) and Dewayne Blount (Brandy); daughters, Carrie Blount, Carla Carraway (Richie), Darla McKenzie (Ronnie), Tiffany Ewing, and Kelly Boudreaux (Damien); 19 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Norwood Blount and George Blount; sisters, Ollie Jenkins, Margaret Arnold, and Lydia Blount; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved “Duke”.

Tommie is preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Blount and Ella Wheat; granddaughters, Amelia Silva and Sarah Dees; great grandson, Sawyer Summerall, his beloved “little man”; brothers, Henry Blount, Paul Blount, Walley Blount, and Frankie Blount; and sisters, Mildred Blount and Lynn Williferd.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Ave, Denham Springs, LA on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 12:00 PM. The graveside service and burial will follow at Salem Cemetery, Walker, LA.
