In Loving Memory of Tonya Renee Drinkwater

Tonya Renee Drinkwater, 66, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was born on August 11, 1959. She passed away on August 3, 2026, at her sister’s home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Edwin Drinkwater and Donna Fay Carlisle Drinkwater.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Connor Jackson, and son-in-law, Todd Michael Jackson. She was a proud Granny to her ten grandchildren: Gunnar, Kiah, Blayden, Bowen, Kymber, Gage, Arrow, Armor, Hawk, and Haven.

She is also survived by her sisters, Denise Waldrop (Keith), Suzonne Dayries (Rick), and Donna Carmichael (Peter), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Tonya dedicated 23 years of service to Lyons Specialty, where she took great pride in her work and treasured the relationships she found there.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. LaVie, for his care throughout her journey. They also wish to thank Gentiva Hospice, especially nurses Kara and Carrie, and her angelic aide Mel, for the exceptional care, kindness, comfort, and dignity they provided during Tonya’s final days.

Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
