Vera E. Aucoin

Vera "Petty" Aucoin Moore, a devoted mother, grandmother, and woman of faith, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born on March 1, 1945, in Oak Dale, Louisiana, to Joseph Leslie Aucoin and Pernie Doyle Aucoin.

Vera dedicated many years of her life to caring for homes and families through her work in housekeeping and caretaking. She was as a devoted member of her church, she loved her trips to the mountains, most of all she found her greatest joy in spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herman Moore; her parents, Joseph L. and Pernie Doyle Aucoin, great grandchild, Brock Ciampa; her sisters, Alvina Aucoin Moran and Mary Anne Aucoin; nephew, Alvin Moran; great nephew, Jacob Moran; niece, Paula Ann Moran.

Vera is survived by her loving sons, Ricky Aucoin and wife Juanita, Terry Aucoin and wife Carrie, and Michael Moore and wife Angie; her grandchildren, Chris and wife Dayna Aucoin, Michelle Aucoin Ciampa and husband Chuckie, Savannah Lee Beard and husband Payton Beard, and Gracie Lee; her great-grandchildren, Isabella Aucoin, Brody Aucoin, Haley Ciampa, Chris Ciampa, and Stetson Beard; her brother, Leslie Aucoin and wife Vivian; nieces, Lizzie and Kadence Davis, Elizabeth Moran Lee and Kelly Lee, Becky Aucoin Mitchum and Carmen and husband Mark Mitchum, Renee, Robin and Rhonda Aucoin, Ashley Tinsley Helms, Emma and husband Tyler Helms, and Christa Moran; nephews, Joseph Moran and wife Lori, Lawrence Moran and Stephen Schreiber, Justin Tinsley, Sawyer Helms, and Glen and Susan Poche and all of the Poche family.

Serving a pallbearers will be Chuckie Ciampa, Chris Aucoin, Joseph Moran, Michael Moore, Lawrence Moran, Payton Beard, and Kelly Lee.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brody Aucoin and Justin Tinsley.

The family extends a special thank you to Pinnacle Hospice for their compassionate care.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Seale Funeral Home, in Denham Springs, Louisiana, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. The graveside service and burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
