Vito R. Buffa, age 78, of Holden Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. He was born on September 21, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Susan Buffa; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Buffa Wagner (Howard); his brother, Philip Buffa (John); and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Michael Buffa and Vito Buffa Jr.; his parents, Felix Buffa and Angeline Golf Buffa; and sister, Carmella Buffa.

Vito dedicated many years of his life to the construction industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and pride in a job well done. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple things. He enjoyed fishing, and watching TV, and working outdoors, and spending time “His Susie”, which is what he called is wife. He was a devoted fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and LSU Tigers. He rarely missed a game and could always be found cheering on his favorite teams.

Above all, his greatest joy in life was his family. He cherished every moment he spent with them, either in person or on the phone. Whether celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying everyday moments together, he loved it all. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, kind heart, and the love he shared so generously. His legacy will live in through the family and friends who were blessed to know and love him.
