W. Jean Causey, born April 18, 1944, entered the arms of the Lord September 12, 2026. She was a resident and native of Livingston, Louisiana. Jean retired as an office manager of Thomassie Insurance after more than thirty years of service.

She is survived by her husband: Clyde Holmes, Jr.; one daughter: Darla Crowson; two step-children: John Holmes (Tanya) and Shannon Giammerse (Marion); several grandchildren: Ronnie Bueche (Mark), Melissa Jones, Kimberly Jones, Austin Crowson, Lindsey Giammerse, Kelsey Giammerse, and Paige Dolan (Brandon); one niece: Cheryl Goins (Robert); a nephew: Clifton Wheat (Suezyah); and many great-grandchildren and honorary grandchildren that were the light of her life. She collected grandchildren like many collected antiques. Anyone who came into her home instantly became part of the family.

Jean was preceded in death by her late husband: Son Causey; parents: Willie and Lettie Williford; one brother: Justin Williford; a sister: Mathel Wheat; a grandson: Jason Causey; and two nephews: Don Wheat and Derrell Wheat.

Seale Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements and care. A visitation will start Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Colyell Baptist Church from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral at 11:00 A.M. Interment will immediately take place following the funeral at Colyell Community Cemetery.
