Wade Hampton Bozeman, Jr.

Wade Hampton Bozeman, Jr., 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Born on April 29th, 1939, he was a life-long resident of Baton Rouge. After graduating from Baton Rouge High School, Wade went on to serve in the United States Army Reserves.

Wade was a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Wade’s greatest joy was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade H. Bozeman and Etta Lanier Bozeman, his brother Gerald G. Bozeman and his niece Stacy Dutsch. He is survived by his daughters, Shawn B. Martin (Craig), Keesha B. Ponti (Erich); his grandchildren, Ashtyn Waguespack (Brock), Morgan Darouse (Matt), Austin Waguespack, Macey Stock, Michael Stock, Lorin Martin, Madisyn Martin. His seven (7) great grandchildren; Harper Claire, Fynn Austin, Stella Ann, Beaux Alix, Charlee Renee, Hunter James, and Rivers James. He also leaves behind his brother, John Bozeman (Linda); sister, Marita Street (Steve); sister, Marilyn Burgess (Kenneth) and many nieces, nephews that he loved.

Wade's celebration of life will be February 28, 2026, at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with the service following at 3 p.m. Wade was a die-hard LSU fan! In celebration of his passion for LSU, all family and friends are encouraged to wear their LSU attire to honor Wade. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your charity of choice.
