Warren “Red” Gabel, 88, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Born in Montpelier, Louisiana, Red proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
An auto mechanic by trade and longtime business owner, Red was known for his passion for music, his humor, and his generous heart. He played the drums in numerous local bands throughout his life. Red was quick with a joke or a pun, and his singing and lighthearted spirit could fill any room.
Along with music, he loved fishing, motorcycles, good company, and sharing stories that made others smile. Above all, Red will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and friend whose kindness and spirit touched many lives.
He is survived by his children; Mike Eubanks (Sandy), Cindy Smith, Samantha Leonard Cupstid, Bubba Leonard, Danny Riley, Michelle Gabel Desoto, Bradley Niehaus (Tammy); brother, Carroll Gabel (Karen); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Ernest Gabel and Grace Grantham Gabel Raborn; brothers, Paul Gabel, Cecil Gabel, Robert Gabel and Charles Gabel; sisters, Beverly Van Osdell and Linda Brown; sons, Warren Gabel, Clifton Gabel; and daughter, Ronda Leonard Robertson.
Red’s music, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Family and friends and are invited to a funeral service held on Friday, October 31, 2025 at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Avenue in Denham Springs. Visitation will from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM with the funeral service starting promptly at 3:00 PM.
