William "Bill" Raymond Mundell

William “Bill” Raymond Mundell, resident of Livingston, passed away at the age of 81 on August 25, 2026; surrounded by his family. He was born in Long Branch, New Jersey to his parents William Edward Mundell and Shirley Kline Mundell on June 14, 1945; Flag Day. He moved to Louisiana and began his career as a piping designer for Barbay Engineers and then onto Sigma Consulting Engineers for the remainder of his engineering career. In the midst of that career, he obtained his contractors license and began building homes and opened up his own business; Mundell Builders. Additionally, he also worked with Habitat for Humanity for a few years building homes for the less fortunate. Outside of work, Bill was a family man and had many different hobbies, including spending time at the beach with his family, traveling all over the world, and excelled in the arts which he had posted in his home for everyone to see. Although he was no Vincent Van Gogh, he was proud of his creations and bragged tremendously. He could get lost telling stories of his trials and tribulations from everywhere he has been in his life; including wise, old, humorous tales mixed in with some truth. Bill was a devoted father, pawpaw, friend and dependable man with lots of character and always aspired to do the right thing. He would always put everyone first, no matter the cost. He will be dearly missed by those who have had the opportunity to know and love him, and his neverending sarcasm and joy will live on in the ones he leaves behind.

He is survived by his son Gerald “Jerry” Paul Mundell and wife Vickie, grandchildren Zachary Mundell, Alexander Mundell, and Olivia Mundell; great-grandchildren Briella Mundell and Milla Mundell; sister Shirley Vega, brother Edward Mundell, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in passing by his son Brian Mundell, and parents William Edward Mundell and Shirley Kline Mundell.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm with a service starting at 6:00pm.
